Betul beach is considered to be the most scenic of all the Goan beaches. It is situated towards the southern side of Mobor beach. Situated at the right of the Sal River delta, the Betul beach presents a highly scenic view to the passersby.
The sand at the beach gives the soft look of silver. The fruit trees loom all around in abundance, apart from the swaying palm trees. Thus, the visitors may relax in the shade. In the background, you may see the foothills at the Western Ghats. And it appears to be an amazingly fascinating 360 degree circle panorama.
A little lagoon adds to the attraction of the beach. If you want to enjoy a solitary walk and get closer to Nature, take a stroll towards the Betul lighthouse along the gorgeously beautiful coastline.
Though the Betul village is a small one, the people are very warm hearted and hospitable. Besides, you may easily find a suitable accommodation guided by the friendly and helpful locals. The visitors are also well received at the local restaurants.
The magnificently majestic Betul Fort located at one of the hills provides a good view of the Southern coast. Betul happens to be a fishing village. You may spot a number of the ocean trawlers as well as the fishing boats.
However unlike most of the Goan beaches, there are not too many of the shacks at the beach for the Betul beach is somewhat offbeat and peaceful. But, as quite a few of the largest and finest Goaqn mussels are found here, the seafood is simply amazing.
